How Roth Activity Tracker handles ride location, routes, social activity, and account requests.

Ride location
Used while an active ride is recording, including when Roth Activity Tracker is in the background.
Route visibility
Each route follows its private, followers, group, or public audience.

Location and routes
When location runs and how a finished route is stored.
Location is requested when you choose to start ride and route recording.
Background location is used only while an active ride is recording so the route can continue when you use another app or lock the phone.
Finished routes save locally first, then sync when the account and connection are available.
Route visibility follows the selected audience: private, followers, group, or public.
Sharing and groups
How audience choices and group participation affect visibility.
Private routes are visible only to the owner.
Follower, group, and public routes are visible only through their matching sharing rules.
Group invites, requests, member roles, messages, and competition standings are used to run local competitions.
Reports are available on feed posts, comments, group messages, profiles, and groups. Report evidence is visible only to the reporter and assigned moderators.
Blocking removes follows and hides both users from each other across community content, messages, notifications, and competition standings.
Notifications
Preferences for alerts shown inside Roth.
Notification preferences control social, group, and competition categories.
Roth Activity Tracker stores notifications in the app and can send optional device alerts after you grant phone permission.
You can turn device alerts or individual alert categories off in Settings. In-app notifications can be marked read or deleted.
Connected apps
Optional provider connections and the controls applied before an import.
No provider permission is requested until you choose an available provider.
The iPhone Apple Health importer reads only cycling workouts, workout routes, cycling distance, and active energy.
Roth Activity Tracker does not include a watchOS recorder in this release.
Apple Health may identify a completed workout as recorded by Apple Watch; Roth imports that completed data read-only after you connect Apple Health.
Imported rides begin as Only You and historical imports do not publish or enter active competitions.
Provider credentials, tokens, and raw provider payloads stay outside client-readable tables and account exports.
Personal heatmaps are visible only to their owner. Community heatmaps use anonymous aggregates from opted-in public Roth Activity Tracker rides and exclude every imported source.
Disconnect stops future sync and offers ride retention choices when provider terms allow them.
Service providers
Infrastructure used to store, map, build, and deliver the app.
Supabase provides authentication, database storage, and row-level security.
Mapbox provides map rendering for recording and route review.
Expo provides native iOS and Android build tooling.
Sentry receives production crash diagnostics such as an error stack, app build, device model, and OS version. Roth disables user identity, requests, screenshots, replays, logs, tracing, and fields containing routes, coordinates, tokens, photos, captions, or messages.
Roth Activity Tracker does not sell personal data or use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs.
Your account controls
Review, export, correct, or permanently remove account data.
Deletion removes the Supabase Auth user and cascades through profile-linked app data.
Support requests for export or correction should include the account email and request type, but never a password.
Feedback never includes GPS coordinates or route geometry unless you separately choose to share that information with support.
